Revelation 22:6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.”

Blink of an eye!

Jesus tells us that the time is at hand. He said this before He sacrificed everything on that cruel cross. Why? No man knows the time the Lord will return. No man knows the time of his expiration date. But there is a time scheduled for you and me to stand and give an answer to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

How fast is the twinkling of an eye? A blink of an eye takes about 0.1 of a second. A twinkling is faster. Even if there was a thought of waiting to confess Jesus as Lord, the twinkling of the eye is faster. Death comes to all men. It happens faster than we would like. No matter if you are 50 or 75. Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Tell all of the truth

Revelation 22:10-11 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” There is an old saying in South Georgia, “It is what it is, and that is all it will be.” When the time comes you are what you are: just, unjust, holy or unholy. Everyone will know what your choice will be.

But is it not merciful of God to have John by the prompting of the Holy Spirit to write this book of Revelation. We who read and understand are truly blessed. We are blessed because we know how everything unfolds. Even though it happens quickly, we have an understanding of the times at hand.

The only way

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the waythe truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. There is only one way to Heaven. Jesus the perfect Son of God came and sacrificed Himself for us. Do not be found on the wrong side of eternity. Seek Him!
