Revelation 18:21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.”

Finality

Whenever it happens, it is fast. No matter how long it lasts. Babylon, who has been around since beginning in the first chapters of Genesis, is in her death throws. The city and the false religion have influenced millions of people over the years to rebel against God. But now without mercy, it is all over. No more usury, no more sexual sin, no more greed or prideful actions. This is the moment the saints have been praying for.

Matthew 18:6 But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it will be better for him that a millstone was hung about his neck, and that he was drowned in the depth of the sea. Babylon enslaved men and women. Child slavery, which is so prevalent in today’s time, is enthralled in this place. All of it sinking to the bottom of a place it will never rise from again.

Working and Dancing their way to hell!

Revelation 18:22-23 “The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.

Before the flood in Noah’s time, the environment was the same as the environment here in Babylon. People were marrying, partying and celebrating life. They got up every morning to go to work and make money. There was no thought of their impending destruction, no thought of the sin they were enveloped in causing God to be stirred up for judgment. Everything in both times is self-indulging.

People do not like being called out

Revelation 18:24 “And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.” All throughout the Old Testament God sent His prophets to warn the people to turn back to God. The saints went throughout all the earth after the New Testament was established to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. What happened to many of them? They were slain. The pull of the spirit of Babylon was on the people who slayed them.

Please if you are being influenced and are living your life like the people we are reading about here, stop and take note of this message! Judgment is nothing anyone wants to talk about or read about, but it is real! We all deserve it because we were born into sin. But Jesus came so we could have life and have it more abundantly. Seek Him out!
