Revelation 12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

War in heaven?

The is the second great sign. This one actually makes us scratch our heads. Up until this point, Satan has access to heaven where he has accused the saints of God of their sins. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. This has been the case until this point here-the halfway point of the great tribulation.

During this time, Satan is trying to enter heaven, and he is stopped by Michael the archangel. We have to remember that Satan is not God’s equal. He is created just like everything else. Michael and his angels fight Satan, and his angels and the dragon (Satan) is thrown out of heaven after this great battle.

Battle results

Revelation 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Michael has won the great battle. We will see later what happens when Jesus goes to war with Satan and his followers on earth. Now there is no more accusations against the saints in heaven. By the way, this is what Satan means, accuser. The actual name is Lucifer; Satan is his title.

Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. The celebration in heaven begins with the loud voice announcing the result of the great battle. The declaration? The kingdom of God and the power of His Christ have come!

What else?

Revelation 12:11:12 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

The saints are celebrated for overcoming by the blood of the lamb and their testimony! Do you have a testimony through the blood of the Lamb? Will you be celebrated when this time comes?
