Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
The seventh trumpet judgement
We were created a little lower than the angels and were given dominion over this earth. Adam fell into sin and through the sin being allowed onto this earth, we lost the ability to reign, and it was given to Satan. Job 1:7 tells of a meeting God was having and Satan came then bragged about this fact. So, the prince of the power of darkness has reigned and will reign up until this point.
The sounding of this trumpet is the official taking back of the earth from Satan and Jesus taking control. This is celebrated with crying out of the hosts of heaven. This does not mean that the judgments are over. We still have many events and then the bowl judgements.
What happens after the proclamation?
Revelation 11:16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God. Worship for God starts after the proclamation. The twenty-four elders who we have talked about earlier, fall down and praise God. These are 12 saints from the Old Testament and twelve from the New Testament.
The saints go on to worship God for the salvation provided from the evil. And they praise God for the judgements on the terrible acts committed against the saints. They also praise God for the rewards that He is bestowing upon the saints. People who have spread the gospel and been the hands and feet of Jesus.
What else happens?
Revelation 11:19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. The Ark is in the temple of God in Heaven. The mercy seat sits on top of it between the wings of the cherubim. Then, great acts of nature are felt and seen.
The amazing thing for us is that the Lord of Lord’s has a mercy seat for the shedding of the blood of the Great Sacrifice. This is the blood of Jesus spilled for the forgiveness of sins. Today is the day Jesus is calling you. Will you answer the call?
