The fourth seal is opened and the last of the four horsemen arrives. The last of the four living creatures says, “come and see.” What we are told is coming here is something that scares the majority of people. There is no other way to say it but, Revelation 6:8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him.
Death is something we witness but do not truly understand. But what comes with it is hell. For those who think hell is not real, then they have not read the words of Jesus. He speaks of hell more than anyone. Hell is a place that was made for Satan and his demons. So, death comes with this seal and somehow hell follows it. This is most likely referring to the level of devastation the human race will suffer.
What color horse is the fourth?
Revelation 6:8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. The word for pale used in the Greek is chloros. It means green or yellowish pale. This is very odd. But with war and the fallout of the battles, often times comes famine, (spoke of previously) and pestilences and disease. During times of war, disease such as cholera kill more than the actual acts of violence committed. So, the pale color horse is appropriate.
Rev. 6:8 And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. So total chaos, along with starvation and disease take a toll on the population. Think of 25% of the world’s population dying. Estimates put the population today at 8.3 billion people. That means around 2 billion deaths will occur with this seal being opened. This is staggering, and numbers we have never seen before.
