Revelation 6:3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”
What happened when the second seal was opened?
Revelation 6:4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. The judgements are coming quickly at this point. The second seal reveals a second horse, which is fiery red and another one who sits on the horse. The first rider on the white horse sets the stage for war and violence to happen. This second rider lights the match. The world is at odds at this point. Nation against nation and group against group.
Think of America’s history. There has never been a generation that has not known war. Then look at it in broader terms–war has plagued mankind for all ages. But especially since the early 1900’s. But there is never in history been a time with such vitriol as is about to proceed after the red horse and its rider is let loose. But remember, it is let loose and God has the ultimate authority.
Explain this broken seal and red horse more…
Revelation 6:4 And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. Last century Stalin, Moa Zedong and Hitler were responsible for over 100 million deaths. This fact is almost unthinkable. But when peace is taken from the earth, the death toll will make these numbers look small. Killing will become like second nature. Brutality will reign during this time.
How could this be? Think of what holds nations from destroying other nations. The Holy Spirit is among Christians at this time. But after the rapture, the Holy Spirit is no longer on earth. He is in heaven with the saints of God. Where are the restraint and goodness going to come from? We know mankind is given to their sin nature. God and His grace, mercy and goodness have withdrawn and judgement is being executed.
How do I avoid this judgement?
John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Man was not intended for condemnation, only Satan and his demons. Do not travel the path of the fool. Come to the Father through His Son Jesus Christ.
