Psalm 119:1-2 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart!
It goes without saying that we are human and struggle with the flesh. We will sin at times. Being perfect is not what this Psalm is saying. Being undefiled in the way, even though we might fall down in our walk of faith we do not stay down. We stand up and ask forgiveness for what we have done. This is how we stay in line with Jesus. This is what being righteous looks like in His eyes. This is how we walk in the law of the Lord.
I would propose that one of the biggest reasons we fall into sin is because we let our minds get distracted. The world is full of every kind of distraction you can think of. Why? Because a distracted mind is a mind that is easily fooled. Satan is the master of deception and will take every opportunity to sneak in when we are not focused. This is the reason we need to meditate on God’s word daily. Meditate does not mean sit on the floor with our arms on our legs with fingers touching and humming. No, this means to murmur His word during the day and night.
This is how we keep our testimony. By keeping and sharing our testimony, we receive a blessing. By being distracted and not focusing on our testimony, we lose our blessing. What is the blessing? There is a crown given to us by God for spreading His word. But I think the true blessing would be seeing someone in heaven because of the testimony you or I shared with them.
