James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.
The temptation of life is a very broad term. There are many areas in which people can be tempted. This is because people are so very different. We live in different places where the cultures are so very different. One person may be tempted by money and another tempted by food. One person may be tempted by laziness and another tempted by overworking. No matter what the temptation, we must endure to the end.
Most people when you talk with them about heaven say, “I want to make it in even if by the skin of my teeth.” This is a thought. Someone who follows Jesus should be full of the love he pours into us. It actually should overflow into others’ lives. But do you realize there is a reward system for the saints of God? Here for overcoming temptation we are given the crown of life. So just to make into heaven should not be the goal we strive for in this life.
But before we can endure temptation or receive the crown of life, we must first make a decision. That decision is what are we going to do with Jesus Christ the Son of Man. This is the only question that truly matters for those who have not already accepted Him as Savior. If you have accepted Him as Savior, then blessed are you. If you have not, you have read these words and know the person the gospels are all about. What is your answer?
