Psalm 139:1-3 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

The thought arises, I can get away with this. No one will know. There is nobody around and no one will ever see anything. This is how the temptation draws us in. No matter the sin, this is the origin of thought we have towards it. This is a flawed way of thinking though. There is One who knows what you are thinking. There is One who sees you in the place where you thought you could not be seen. He is your Creator, Jehovah. He is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere at any one time.

He also understands us better than we can understand ourselves. He comprehends our ways because He knows the pull of sin on a human. He knows we are weak, even when we think we are strong. He has seen it and walked through it with us time after time. Even though He could change us to not sin, He will not. Why? Because he wants us to choose Him. He is a God of relationship even when we cannot hold up our end of the bargain. He loves us with a love we cannot contemplate.

This is why He sent His perfect Son into this world. He knew that there was no way that we could ever save ourselves, so Jesus came to save us. He was born of virgin birth. He walked in the flesh like us but did not sin. He went to the cross and gave up his life after taking all of the punishment for the sin we committed. Then, He went to the grave only to be resurrected on the third day. This is the love that He has for us. Will you choose Him now?
