Psalm 95:1-3 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all Gods.

What is Sunday to you? Is it a day to rest and watch sports? Is it a day to sleep in and catch up with your rest? Maybe your children are on a travel ball team, and the family is at the park watching them play. Today in America whichever you answer is a common theme. The reverence for the Almighty God of the universe has been lost for most. But the place calls us to be is gathered together singing, praising and learning about Him. But in recent times the only way our churches fill up is from a national emergency or crisis.

This is ashamed, but it is the truth. Why do people stream in the church when these crises happen? Because deep down they know there is a God in heaven and they want His protection. But they do not realize He is the Rock of our salvation. They do not truly put their trust in Him. We should come with gratitude and joyfulness into His presence on Sundays for the grace He has shown us! We should sing and shout praises to his name. His sacrifice for us was tremendous so we could be spared the penalty of our sin.

He is the Lord of Lord and the King above all kings. He holds the universe in His hand. He created you with a plan for your life but only if you choose His plan for you. He has made it possible for us to be in His presence for eternity through the sacrifice of His Son on the cross. Is sacrificing a few hours a week to worship Him really that much? We have been called to gather in His name. Will you answer the call?
