Jonah 2:6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

Dreams are real to us at times. They can change our lives; I believe that God still speaks through these to us. I cannot prove this, but I believe it. Once, after I was saved, I had a terrible dream about death and hell. I walked into a cave and down a path. I came to a point that I could not travel the path any further. There was a set of bars like a prison door. There were people behind this door in great agony with their arms reaching through the bars. They were not begging for mercy; they just asked me to tell others about the experience I was witnessing. They did not want their loved ones there with them.

The verses I wrote today struck me when I read them after my dream. I have spent many years working to fulfill the purpose in which the people in the cave asked me to do. This is one of the reasons in which I write this devotional. Not only to inspire fellow Christians, but on the off chance one person who does not know Christ reads this work. This is how much this dream changed my thinking and my life purpose. People need to know that there are consequences to their sin.

The good news is that these consequences have already been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Paul tells us this and he lets us know that he is the chief amongst sinners. I will say that Jesus turned the direction of my life 180 degrees. And I want to tell everyone about Him because of the grace and mercy He showed me. It is my prayer that if you are reading this and you do not know Christ as your savior that you will take time and reflect on the words I have written. Be blessed.
