Romans 1:18-19 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
This is always the part about God no one wants to hear. We hear about God’s love all the time and rightfully so. But this is just one quality of God, not the only quality. God is also righteous. He is kind. He is just and a list so long of other qualities that I do not have enough time to write about. But God is Holy. And this means there is a time when all sin has to be punished. This is really the understanding we must have of God. He will serve justice for the sin we have committed.
This is why there are so many “isms” out there. People like to make up their own God because they know the true God has a time set aside for His wrath. They try and suppress the truth of righteousness. But this is a foolish thought and dangerous game. Our minds cannot wrap around eternity. Our minds cannot truly wrap around eternal punishment either. But God makes it clear that the time for grace and mercy is now. Tomorrow is not promised to any person. This is why it is important to know the whole gospel, not just the parts that make us feel good.
The good news in this is that God has provided us a way of forgiveness through His Son Jesus. Jesus clearly teaches about eternity and the consequence of sin. He knows what eternity means and what the importance of a soul is. This is why He came down and took the punishment for us and made it possible for us to have a relationship with Hm and the Father. We just have to be honest and take our pride out of the way, then come to Him in humbleness asking Him for forgiveness. Do not delay until it is too late. Today is the day for you to be real with God.
