Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Faith. Forsaking All I Trust Him. This is the basis for salvation. We have to have the ability to trust in the unseen. The thing hoped for. We hear the word of God, and this inspires us to seek out the truth. There is an untouchable place in our hearts, that can only be filled by God. We tend to seek out things of this world to fill that spot, but we realize that this is a journey of futility. Faith leads us to the answer we need and a relationship we have always craved.

For this reason, I like Paul am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For this gospel is the power that led me to the saving knowledge of Jesus. When the word of God was spoken to me something drastic happened. It was as if someone pulled the plugs out of my ears and I could truly listen from my soul to what God was telling me. The message He spoke was how much He loved and adored me. That was the first time I realized my worth. This is the power of the Gospel. This is the power of Jesus.

So, with all this being said, have you ever heard the gospel. Do you know the power of God’s word? If not, you do not have to wait. You know a Christian, go ask them. You have the internet, look up the bible. There is nothing holding you back but yourself. Today is the day. All you need is faith that Jesus is a God worth His word.
