Revelation 20:7-8 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

There is a philosophical thought that one day humans can evolve and create heaven on earth. That we as humans are growing wiser and more loving as each generation comes and goes. Through this evolution we will one day create through our creativity and evolution a perfect earth. On this perfect earth there will be perfect people and a perfect environment. They say the evidence is right before our eyes as this evolution is taking place. Sounds really good, doesn’t it? We as flawed people are pulling ourselves out of the ooze of evil and doing it all by ourselves.

As we read here in the book of Revelation, there is a time here on earth that things are perfect for 1000 years. Jesus is ruling on earth as the Rapture has passed and the tribulation period has come to an end. Everything is perfect on earth with Jesus ruling and sin abolished. But at the end of the 1000 years, Satan is loosed from his prison and comes back to earth. What happens? Rebellion comes back, sin comes back and there is a faction that comes to make war against God and His saints. This comes during a time where Jesus has made everything perfect for 1000 years.

Reality is that without trusting Jesus with all your heart and soul nothing is perfect. The pull of this world and the sinful lust of the flesh is too strong. There cannot be perfection unless Satan and sin is cast completely out of known existence. The only true path to true joy and peace is to Jesus. So, there are two paths that lead in completely different directions. One to Satan and sin, the other to Jesus. Which path will you choose?
