Psalm 3:4 I cried to the Lord with my voice; And he heard me from His holy hill.

Neglect has a profound effect on people. I researched the issue of neglect and the symptoms that arise. Children who are neglected have about a fifty percent higher risk of entering the justice system. Fifty nine percent of juveniles who are neglected are more likely to be arrested. So listening and interacting with people especially at an early age makes a huge difference in the development of that person. The same is true of our relationship with God.

It is such a blessing that we have a God that loves us. We can cry out to Him and know that He is there to listen to our problems. And even more amazing is that He listens and wants to help us. He proved this by coming down from heaven and walking among us. He knows how it feels to stub His toe on a table leg. He knows what it is like to be hungry. He was tempted by the same temptations we are. But He did not sin. He then went to the cross and took the punishment intended for us. How great is our Lord!!!!

But in order to realize the full effect of this relationship, we must first know Him as Savior. We do this by repenting of the sin in our lives and asking Him into our hearts. There has never been a time that this was asked and He said, “Your sin is too great.” When you walk into a church, the walls will not fall on you. The church is full of people who sin. But if they are there with a true heart, they have repented. Do not think that God is not for you. He created everything for you. He gave every thing for you.
