2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Can you remember a time when some kind of work you have performed was judged? You may think back on a school project. One you worked really hard on but was unsure of the grade you would receive. What about an evaluation for a raise at work. Whatever it may be there is a time before when you may think about the work you have done. You may think more of your work than you should. Or you may think that your work has not been good enough.
There will be a time when we as Christians sit before the judgment seat of Christ. This is not to judge our salvation. No, this is to judge what we did for Christ on this earth. Not that we are working our way into heaven. This is to justify what you have done to advance the Kingdom of God as an ambassador of Christ. Did you share your testimony? Did you teach the Sunday school class He called you to teach? Whatever He called you to do, how well did you do it? This is the purpose of this judgment.
The good news is that you will be a saint at this time. You will be in the presence of Jesus for eternity. But there is rewards. The Incorruptible Crown, Crown of Rejoicing, Crown of Righteousness, Crown of Glory and the Crown of Life are the rewards. You will have the Crown of Life because of your salvation. But there are four remaining. We can have the privilege of laying these crowns at the feet of Jesus. We are able to do this because of His grace and mercy towards us. Do you like rewards?
