Galatians 5: 13- 14 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve on another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
We are heirs of the kingdom. We have received salvation through the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. We are covered by grace. But does being in this position give us an opportunity to sin? No, not at all. If we use grace in this way, then we should question our relationship with the Savior. We do not use the grace given to us to satisfy the flesh through sin. We let grace flow through us to let God shine through us to influence others for the kingdom of God.
We do this through serving others. Even when it is not the most desirable situation or the most easily to love person. We need to remember that first someone showed us they cared and loved us. Then we listened to them when they spoke of Christ. In the same way we are to love and serve others. When we do this we are a true reflection of Jesus. Because while we were still sinners, He came from heaven and walked as a man here on earth. He did this out of love for us.
But it is not that He walked on this earth as a man. He was perfect in His walk. He then went to the cross and took the punishment for our sin. He died and went to the grave. But the grave could not hold Him. He was resurrected by the Father and conquered death and hell. So this is what gives us grace and salvation. But only if we accept the free gift of salvation. I hope you have accepted this gift. I hope your weekend is blessed.
