Romans 13:13-14 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provisions for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

We are called to walk in the day, not the night. We walk in the day because it has the Light. Jesus is the light that runs the darkness away. In the darkness, we walk in the flesh. The flesh leads us to carnal living. Whether that is partying and drinking or seeking your fleshly lust in lewdness. Whatever your flesh desires it will go there in the darkness. This ferry’s us into strife and envious living. and in the end to destruction.

Be a light seeker. In the light you will not stumble over that which you cannot see. You will feel the warmth of the Son. You will be a part of the eternal family. There is no shame or guilt in His presence. His yoke is light, and He wants what is best for you. He knows what is best for you because He created you in His image. He knows your worries and your pain. He will not leave you there in your misery. He holds your hand as the both of you walk through the fire. This is the Jesus we are to put on and live in.

Life can chew you up and spit you out. But Jesus will stick closer to you than any friend or brother. Do you want to be one of the heirs of the kingdom of God who walks in Jesus’s light? Then you just need to pray and confess your sin. Give Him your heart and confess Him as Lord of your life. There is no ray of sunshine that will warm your soul like Him.
