1 Peter 3: 8- 9 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another, love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

When you look around at the world does your life look different? Or does your life look like everyone else? Are you living like a saint who is to inherit eternal life through the Son or living like worldly people? Are you double minded? Straddling the fence between godly and worldly living? This is a constant strain on many people. Wanting to be committed to Christ but living around sin. The flesh pulling you towards situations and people you know are not good for you.

Do not fret if this sounds like you. There are many out there in this same situation. But we do not have to live in this way. When you are saved you have the Helper who comes into your life and gives you strength. Then there is your church family who is to come along side of you and help. Being of one mind, walking towards Christ, growing in His image. We are to show compassion and brotherly love to one another. Being tender to each other’s struggles. We do not have the yoke of sin around our necks any longer. We do not have to be hateful to those who are hateful to us. We do not have to take an eye for an eye or tooth for tooth.

This is all possible because we are now loved with a love that passes all comprehension. It is the love of Christ. Life is hard but it is that way for a reason. This world is under control of satan. We gave up ownership of it through sin. He has come to still, kill and destroy. But his power is limited. So know that through His love Jesus promised to walk with us until the end of our days on earth. Then there is an eternity of walking with Him in heaven. Be blessed today and show the love of Christ to others.
