Hebrews 11: 1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
When you wake up do you have faith the lights will come on? Yes. But you cannot see the energy that flows through the lines to power them. But they work when I flip a switch you say. Well, faith works the same way. You can’t see the object of your faith. But when you flip the switch of the word of God, it works. God promises in Isaiah 55:11 His word would not return to Him void.
Faith is the key to the door of true understanding. The world was formed by the word of God. John 1 tells us that Jesus is the Word. So the Word formed the world. And He knew He would save all who would come to Him after falling to sin. But we cannot understand this truly without faith. Faith in things we cannot see with our eyes. Because these things were made by the One human eyes cannot see in the flesh. We would fall over dead. So faith is the only way. But it is the way God chose.
We are human and we doubt. That is okay. God wants us to ask true questions from a curious heart. He is big enough for that. But can you come to the place where you honestly ask? Do not come with preconceived notions. Come with an open mind and an open heart. What you will come to realize your faith will start to sprout and grow.
