There are many people who claim to know a god. Notice the little g. Their god is some mystic being that they think they can control and put in a box when not needed. They live like evil, hateful people and claim god when are in trouble. Sadly, millions think this is what Christianity is all about. They are part of the lemon drop gang. Their faces are always sour and they make those around them cry.

Real Christianity is about loving others, helping others and lifting up those around them. They have put away fruits of sin like envy and malice. They stay prayed up and full of the scripture. Peter compares them to babes who are drinking pure milk. They are being nourished and they are growing in Christ. Growth is not optional. If you have encountered Christ and know Him, you cannot help but to grow through His abundance pouring into you.

The key is truly knowing Him. Not the made up little g god that is a fictional character created to make you feel better. If you do not truly know Jesus, have you ever asked yourself why? Is it because the bitterness from a life time of heartache? Is it wanting to hold on to the grudges you have against others? Is it simply you want to be your own god, not having room in your life for anything better? Consider these questions today. Tomorrow is promised to no one. When the time has passed there is no going back.
