John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

These are some of the most familiar verses in the bible. This is the gospel wrapped up in two verses. God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son. Think of how painful this plan was to God and His Son. A perfect, blameless sacrifice was needed to save you and me. No where else could this be found outside of Jesus Christ. God, from the beginning, knew this would be what it would take to justify us. From the beginning, Jesus knew He would volunteer Himself for the task His Father had laid out for our salvation.

Through Him, it is possible for us not to perish. Not only that but have eternity with Him awaiting us if we accept His gift. God is not an old, grumpy man sitting in a wheelchair waiting to punish us when we sin. No, He is loving, kind and merciful and sacrificed His Son to show us this fact! Jesus did not come into this world to condemn. He came into this world to save whoever believes in Him. Black, white, red, yellow, American, Mexican, Russian and whatever other class or nationality there is, Jesus came to save you!

Do you realize how great a plan He planned? Do you realize the amount of love it took for this action? It takes more faith to choose not to believe in Jesus than to believe in Him. His plan was perfect. The chosen sacrifice was perfect. You will never be perfect until you are covered by the blood of Jesus. Are you willing to make a confession of faith in Him? It is my sincere prayer you will come to Him today.
