John 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, ” Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher from God; for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with Him.”

When faced with a truth and you do not understand it, what do you do? When reality is there to realize, do you look at it honestly? Jesus had met a Pharisee; his name was Nicodemus. He had been familiarizing himself with Jesus. He saw the miracles and listened to His teachings. He was conflicted between traditions and influence of men then by who He perceived Jesus to be. How would you react to a situation like this?

Nicodemus knew He was a teacher from God. Maybe he was thinking Jesus was a prophet from God. But listening to Jesus teach and then seeing His works, it would have been hard not to think He was who He was proclaiming to be, the Messiah. Evidence was abounding that this was indeed the One who the scriptures foretold. His heritage lined up. His words were true. His actions were miraculous. But in this moment Nicodemus was hesitating. Does this sound familiar?

Jesus is a great teacher. He was indeed from God. But He is also God. What would you do with this knowledge? What do you think about His death, burial and resurrection? What would you do when He asks you, “What will you do with me?” We generally hesitate. We ask ourselves could this really be true. Then we start to rationalize and tend to back off. We want to delay and wait for a another time to face this question. But the truth is we may not have another day. The day is at hand and the time is now to accept Him as Savior. What will you do?
