Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not unto your own understanding. in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

I recently read a quote, “never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” I do not know who wrote this but how true the saying is. Solomon attests to this when he tells us to trust the Lord with all your heart. He is worthy of our trust. He in fact, is the only One we should trust with all our hearts. Jesus said in Matthew 10:37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy.” I trust my parents tremendously, but We are required to love and trust God more.

We are not to lean on our understanding, We are flawed, sinful people. Mark 7;21 tells us that from within our hearts comes all kinds of evil. Think about the last time you were alone and the thoughts that popped into your mind. Some were good, but a lot were probably not good. We can not trust ourselves in most instances. But God is good, just and righteous. He is the light that runs away the darkness. We need to acknowledge Him in everything so that we can ask then receive righteous blessings.

When we do this, He will direct our ways. This is the only true way to be on the narrow righteous path. But we have to acknowledge Him as Savior first. He created us for a relationship with Him. There will always be a hole in our hearts without Him. Our lives will be like a ship without a rudder until we acknowledge His Lordship. Seek him today.
