1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Nothing in this life is easy. It was not meant to be after sin entered in. There was a curse put on earth and we feel that curse as we age. Sore knees and backs are common. Disease attacks our bodies. Anxiety and stress rack our minds. We suffer many things while we wait for the return of Jesus. We need to know this and realize this is common to man. Even when we feel like no other person has gone through what we are going through, someone has been there before.

Temptation also is common to man. James tells us it starts in our minds and when we meditate on it, then it comes to fruition. But here in Corinthians we are told that God provides us a way to avoid temptation. He gives us a way out. We have to be looking for the off ramp and not on the destination of sin. The responsibility for taking the off ramp is on us. He will never allow temptation that is greater than what we are able to conquer through prayer. That is when God comes into the equation. He see us through the temptation.

But in order for us to be at a point to be helped through the temptation, we must have a relationship with God. This is only possible through salvation. Jesus says, “I am the Way, The Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” So if you want to have the off ramp then you must first have Him in your life. Will you seek Him? Will you give it all to Him today?
