Colossians 3:1 If you then were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.3. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
“People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do.” This is a quote I read whose words are penned but name unknown. But the words ring true. You can talk the talk but do you walk the walk? If you have received the Lord Jesus as Savior, then live like you are called to live. Walk the narrow path and let your light shine for Him. Then people will believe your actions and your testimony will prove useful.
Jesus lived His life out in such a way that people could see His Godly nature. He did not hide His zeal for the Father. He went all the way to the grave in His actions for His belief. He was then resurrected and now sits at the right hand of the Father. His sitting down means that His work was finished. He accomplished His purpose. When you live everyday life does your zeal for Christ shine? Do your actions magnify Him? If so then your words are that much more powerful in the furtherance of His kingdom.
So set your mind on higher callings and live out your faith. Let your light so shine before men that people would desire what you have. This is true kingdom living. It does not matter the situation you find yourself or the people you are around. The sole purpose should be to lift up Jesus in all you do. You will be surprised at the people around you who will be inspired to seek out the One who caused your faith to be so strong.
