Ephesians 1:13- In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14. who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.

Faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God. We have to speak the Word. When we do, the greatest miracle happens. People give their lives to the Lord. Truth is not always easy to hear, so we are scared to offend people these days with the truth. But without the searing of the truth on our life, we cannot be set free from sin. This is a process that humbles us and we realize the overwhelming need for a Savior.

When the truth is spoken to us from the gospel, we are faced with a choice. There is no fence straddling; we must make a choice. We either accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or we reject Him. When we accept Him, we are sealed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would come after his ascension to heaven. When we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, it is a guarantee that we will see Jesus when we die or are called home during the rapture.

Jesus deserves all our praise and honor for making all this possible. He, from the beginning, created us with the knowledge that He would make it possible through His sacrifice to have a relationship with the Father. In other words, we are not whole without Him. We were not created to be whole. We were created to be a part of something bigger than us. This is why there is always a longing for more without Him. I pray that you have found the piece that is missing, or better said the Lord has found you.
