2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
As one who spent time on a farm when I was younger, this is a principal that speaks to me. If you plant seed for a successful crop then you have to invest in a good amount of seed. If you plant seed sparingly then your success rate decreases. You reap what you sow. This is a wisdom principal that we can use in every aspect of our lives.
Now take this principal and think about what and how much you are sowing for God. Do you think that there is a bountiful harvest awaiting you? If not, then what steps are you going to take to make that happen? Will you tithe as you are called to tithe? Will you study the word of God enough to teach others? What if you got tomorrow what you thanked God for today? Would you have enough for tomorrow?
If you purpose to be a kingdom minded Christian then you will invest your time and efforts into sowing kingdom seed. Jesus is our example He put His time, effort and ultimately His life into expanding His Fathers glory. His glory is His people seeking after His will. Would you seek His glory today? God has been so good to us, how can we not?
