Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
The early church was just starting and the apostles were performing great miracles. People were noticing there was something different about these men. They knew they were set apart by God because of the signs, but they also knew they were being watched by the Sanhedrin. Would they gather, learn and worship with the disciples? Or would they just stay away and go about their daily life?
This is also the question we are asked today. Will you go to church to worship and learn about God? Or, will you just treat Sunday as just another day going about your daily life? No, we do not need to be in church to be saved. So take that response off the table. But we are called to come together to worship and strengthen each other. This is what was happening around Solomons’ porch. They come together in one accord with the single focus of growing in Jesus.
If you are reading this then will you go gather in accord with others in your community today? This does not apply to those who have an illness or are homebound. But if you are able go, then please go. Let iron sharpen iron to grow in the knowledge of the Lord. Jesus is waiting for you there.
