Acts 16:31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

The message of the Way or in today’s terminology Christianity is simply believe. Not believe like you believe in your favorite football team. This is being a fan. There is a problem today inside the church. It is fandom. We cheer when all is well but if something happens to test the faith that is confessed then we leave. This is what happens when your favorite team is losing by twenty one points.

But it is not just about believing it is the realization of who we are believing in. We are believing in the God that spoke and everything we know was formed. Even things we still do not know about was formed. This is an all powerful, awe inspiring God that we are not able to wrap our minds around for all His greatness. This is not hard to believe in, in fact it is harder not to believe in.

Take a hard look at the world around you. Not the culture or the way of the world but the physical world. The trees, the animals and the mountains. Everything is orderly and formed with care. It is like this because God’s hand was on it. He created it for us. He loves us and everything He has done including giving His life was out of love for us. Meditate on this today and then commit to the faith He has called you to.
