1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what your are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
We all tend to think that we are the only one who is going through bad times. We think we are the one who is struggling the most and there is no one who can understand our plight. The problem with this mentality is that it is not biblical. This is why communication with other Christians is so important. When we talk we find out that there is others out there like us.
They are like us with the struggles of life. They are like us with the struggle of sin and temptation. This is common to man but we just do not see it this way. Also, God who has been so faithful to us through our sin is with us. He helps us and understands the limits we have and will not allow the temptation to be more than we can bear. He will show us off ramps that we can take. But we need to realize where they are and use our good sense to take them.
Jesus does not want us to soak in sin. He wants us to soak in the brightness of His glory. We need to be in His word and know it, then take His word and pray over it and expect His grace. This is what is expected. He is not waiting to punish us or nor does He glory over our pain. No he came to take the pain and punishment for us. His love abounds for us. Prepare yourself for this by seeking Him in His word and through prayer.
