Proverbs 10:22 The blessings of the Lord make one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
Being rich is not just a monetary state of being. No, it is better applied as a whole body, mind and soul wellness or wholeness. The Hebrew word Shalom is used for this expression of this state. This is what Solomon is saying in this Proverb. What good is money when your health fails? What good is money when your children have something bad happen to them? Money may facilitate the aftermath to be easier but there is no fullness when the bad comes.
Where do we go to get this blessing? Where do we go to be in the state of Shalom? Humans turn to a lot of absurd and empty places to find what we are talking about. Monks banish themselves to mountains and refuse to talk. We go to extremes in our exercise routines and medicine. We go everywhere but the one place that can provide this. What is this place? This place is at the feet of Jesus. The One who loved us enough to die for us and the One who wants us to be whole.
Do not travel the world to find some guru only to realize it is a false doctrine. Do not spend thousands on pills. Do not separate yourself from the world. Turn to the Lord of all and ask for His help. This will be the best decision you will ever make. Jesus loves you. Seek Him today.
