Titus3:3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lust and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

It is not a pretty picture of what we were before Jesus. As I read this verse i thought back on who I once was and what was in my heart. This is important for us as saved by grace saints. We need to look honestly at the reflection in our mirrors and reflect upon our sinful nature. It is sobering and it should sober us in our thought process today.

The world is sinful. It is full of sinful people and we suffer the results of the curse of sin. It is easy for us as being saved by grace to look at this sin and condemn the people who are not saved by grace. The problem with doing this is that God loves these people. Therefore we should love them enough to share the gospel and show them the love God has shown us.

It is easy to give up on people. It is easy for us to throw our hands up and say they get what they deserve. Jesus doesn’t want us to do this though. He wants us to love with the same love He loved us with. Remember this when you meet the person at work today that drives you crazy with their differing political views. Remember this when you watch the news and listen to the sinful acts.

These people are who we would have been if the grace of Jesus did not save us. He loves you. He also loves them. Call out the sin and try to show grace to the sinner. Testify. Share the gospel. Ask for forgiveness for failing Him. Start over. Testify. Share the gospel. Keep going until the day you take your last breath.
