1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The worst guilt is to accept an unearned guilt. This was a saying by Ayn Rand. She was a philosophist who thought Christianity offered isolated good advice. So in her saying she thought Jesus suffered the worst guilt by taking our guilt as He died for us. This is a true humanist point of view. She equated the guilt we suffer for the bad we do to Christ being a suffering fool. She never truly understood the power of the cross or the true love God showed to us.

We must understand that it is never going to be about anything we do. It is all about what Jesus did and how faithful He was to the Fathers plan. He is just to forgive us because of His love for us. He understands what it means to perish. Not the Merriam Webster definition but the actual result of the word. He knows what it means to be sentenced to hell and chose to do something to save us from that terrible place. He is no fool, no He is my glorious savior. He cleansed me from the sin I was enslaved to.

Jesus did not suffer greater guilt by accepting my guilt. No, He was honored and glorified by sacrificing Himself to save every soul willing to accept His gift of eternal salvation. We need to shout this from every mountain top, every street and everywhere in-between.
