Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

I have been asked what is the Christian thing all about? Well it all starts with death. Death of the old man, death to the sin which my flesh committed and death to earthly living. The great thing is that dying in Christ we are raised again as a new person. We are given a new thought process so we can perceive the things of God. We are all together a new being, our will is changed to want to seek the things of God. We were raised from eternal death with Christ.

So we now seek the things above. What is it that we now seek? Righteousness, self-control and goodness to just name a few. We do this because it is what our example Jesus did. Our minds are no longer on the wants of the flesh. We no longer seek to satisfy the lust of the flesh. I will now show you my works as a result of my faith. I do not work for salvation, I work out of the abundance of love shown to me by my Lord.

Jesus came to earth and finished the work His Father gave to Him to complete. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father. This is a position of power. He no longer is the little baby in the manger. No, He is now the Lion of the tribe of Judah. I hope you have the relationship with Jesus that makes you want to seek the things above. Because when He comes back or we pass on to glory, The King of Kings will be seeking those who willingly confessed Him as Lord.
