James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded

What is your goal in this life? Is it to be rich or famous? Is it to be a great author or even an athlete who makes it to the big time? As a Christian the ultimate goal is to grow closer to God. How do we do that? Well, we have to first be disciplined. We are to commit ourselves to Jesus as an athlete trains for an event. We are to be single-minded in our determination to achieve our goal.

When we commit to this what we will find is that He draws closer to us. He will see us cleansing our hands of our sins. He will see us purifying our hearts. In fact, He provides us the tools to do so. He is like a coach training his athlete. He wants us to succeed. The question is will we want to do what it takes to be successful?

Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” Are you on the Way seeking the Truth to obtain the Life? He makes it easy to have a life of salvation. But there is training after that is not always so easy. Can you commit to Him? It is my prayer today that you will. Be blessed today.
