John 10:28 “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 29. I and my Father are one.”
Guarantees in this world are like grabbing at water. You go in with a lot of expectation but come out with wet palms. We cannot believe in them because you have to take the word of sinful man. Alert, we are all sinful. But there is one guarantee we can put our trust in. Jesus gives us eternal life and we shall never perish.
The guarantee of salvation is doubted by man because they say this gives man free reign to sin more. It is a fact that we do sin, even after salvation. But there is a difference between falling in the mud and getting up and falling in the mud and wallowing. If our salvation experience is true then we will not sin this way. James 2:20 says, “faith without works is dead.” So if you sin you have no works therefore your faith is void. The person who is like this should re-examine his salvation experience.
Then some think that our salvation can be lost. The above scripture refutes this. We have a double guarantee. No one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand, then for emphasis added Jesus states, “I and my Father are one.” That tells us no one or no thing can pull us out of salvation. Not even ourselves. So in the end the only remaining question is, have you accepted the guarantor as savior?
