Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but at its end is death. We are referred to as sheep on multiple occasions by God. If you do not know, sheep are not very intelligent creatures. They put themselves into terrible situations without understanding. They are scared of their own shadows. They will not even drink from water that flows to fast when they are thirsting because it is to loud. This is our spirit animal. How can we know what is right when we are like sheep?

We must forsake ourselves and our way and turn to the Lord. He is the author and finisher of our salvation. He is our shepherd. He knows the paths we should take and freely gives us the directions on how to walk the path. How lost are we when we try to find our own way? What roads have we been down that have led us to sinful lives? We must forsake them. We must turn to the loving God who sacrificed all, out of His love for us.

But you do not know what I have done you might say. You are right but He does and He died for you anyway. You are that important to Him. So why do you hesitate? Why do you waiver? The first step is the hardest my friend. That is where faith comes into the picture. Trust in Him enough to take the first step. You will find a God with endless mercy.
