Luke 15:8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin , does not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?
Having you ever considered yourself being lost until you heard the gospel? Probably not, you were probably like me making it one day to the next. Having one foot in the air and the other on a banana peel as if falling then landing in hell. This is hard to say but sometimes the truth is hard. I am so glad the Holy Spirit did not give up on me.
Instead the lamp was lit and the search went on until I was found. I cannot be more grateful and humbled. But this is how our God is. He does not want anyone left to a future of suffering, cast out of His presence.
Verse 9, “And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying. “Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece I lost!” The angels in heaven celebrate when we are saved from our lostness. This should tell us how important we are to a loving God when the lost are found.
How much more so knowing that the Son of God Himself came to die on that wretched cross. He loved you enough to go through that terrible time separated from the Father because our sin was poured upon Him. It was the only way for us to have an eternal home with Him in heaven. Do you know Him as Lord and Savior? If not seek out a Christian, a Pastor, someone to help answer your questions. You will not be sorry.
