2 Timothy 2:4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

Jesus come to this earth with a singular mindset. Accomplish the Fathers will. When you read over the gospels you keep hearing a singular message from Christ. Not my will but my Father be done. He did not entangle Himself with things that did not accomplish His mission. There has been spiritual warfare going on since the beginning of time on this earth. Jesus came to strike the deciding blow to cut satan off at the knees.

Worldly ways can be very distracting. Even when we think we are doing good, are we following Gods will? Jesus did not heal every sick person, no he only healed the ones His Father gave Him to heal. He could have called down a million archangels to wipe out mankind when He was on the cross. But He choose not to. He was singular minded. He was suffering the penalty for our sin.

He did this because our souls are the spoils of this spiritual warfare. He made it possible to be victorious and be with the Father in glory. All we have to do is realize the war has been won. Through all the battles the war is over. Jesus has won. He just requires us to acknowledge this and the fact that we need a savior. And He is that savior. Will you come to Him today?
