Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

When we look around the world today there is a lot we do not desire to see. The news brings in pictures from war. Social media is full of rage baiters. People you work with are not as honest as you would like to think. These are just a few of the things people have to deal with on a daily basis. The world is fallen and under the curse. There are a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing. What do we do? Where do we turn?

Imitate David. He tells us the Lord is his fortress. A place where evil plans and mischievous people can not enter. No matter if Satan himself would shift you Jesus will always be with you. This is the One I want to trust. The One that sticks closer than a brother. It is hard to imagine the mental anguish people go through scheming and making plans against others. It is a futile undertaking. It is like drinking poison to hurt others but actually hurting yourself.

But God is our shield. He will block all the fiery darts thrown be the enemy. The power of our salvation. Thank God for His goodness to me. Be blessed today and make sure you have Jesus as your fortress.
