John 1:43 The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and he found Phillip and said to him, “Follow me.”

We all dream of being sought after. Whether it is for the job we have dreamed of. or of a mate seeking to share their life with us. There is something that is so satisfying when that happens. We all want to be admired and acknowledged. If we are lucky we have one day with a special moment that fills that ticket. But isn’t there more? Do we live just for that moment?

Jesus was earlier in His ministry and He was looking for disciples. He was not looking for the extraordinary from mans perspective. He was not looking for the super educated. He was not looking for the person who had the Adonis look. No. He was looking for those whose hearts would be His. And in the moment that Phillip was chosen he knew that something special was transpiring. Not just for that day but for the rest of his life.

Could you imagine looking into the eyes of the Messiah and Him choosing you? We can’t go back in time to live that moment but we can have that moment today. How? By listening to the call of the Holy Spirit. He whispers in your ear all the time. He is telling you Jesus loves you. He is telling you that you are worthy. He is telling you that you need Jesus’s forgiveness and mercy. This is the moment we all all looking for. All you need to do is stop and listen.
