Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of Gods righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

Proverbs 14:2 There is a way that seems right to man, But its end is the way of death. Man thinks he holds the key to righteousness in his thoughts, his ways and his actions. This is inherently an evil thought because man has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In the end this way leads to death of the soul.

Instead of humbling himself, man strives to fulfill his flawed plan. There are numerous ways in which man has tried to create his own righteous society. Socialism, communism and hundreds of other “isms” that have led to disastrous results. More people have been slain under communism than both world wars. It is not even close. Throw in the suffering under social programs and life under man’s control is terrible.

There is only one way to live a right and good life that helps people thrive. This is life under the righteousness given to us under the control of Jesus Christ. True followers of Christ. Not easy believism or prosperity gospel proclaimers. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul. Then love your neighbor as yourself. This is the way to the path of right.
