Proverbs 10:3 The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish. But He cast away the desire of the wicked.

Money is a tool. It may take you where you want to go but it can’t buy heaven. Works will bring praise from men but that is your reward. These are often the things people hang their hats on when thinking about God. They think they can donate or earn their way to heaven. But this thinking is refuted throughout scripture.

God has provided the way He desires for us to enter into His presence. There was a price that needed to be paid. We could not pay a price that high. So, His son Jesus entered the equation. He loved us so much and did not want us to perish. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life that was provided. He sacrificed Himself and fulfilled the payment.

If we choose to acknowledge His sacrifice and accept Him as Lord and Savior then we become a righteous soul. But He cast away the wickedness of man when pride and wicked desire chose to reject the gift of salvation. There is no other way but to trust and obey the will of God. Do not let yourself be cast away. Come to the foot of the cross and humble yourself, then your soul will be righteous and not famish.
