Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise him.

Have you ever been in a situation that made your inner strength come out? Maybe this surprised you because you did not know you had that kind of strength. Ask yourself, where did that strength come from? Was it always just there? Or did someone give it to you? We all have some sort of strength from our physical ability. But where does true strength come from?

True strength is from the Lord. He is the guarantor of our faith and He gives us strength in our time of trouble. But in order to have this strength we have to first trust in Him. We need to give Him our all, even our heart. When we do this He gives us His help, and He becomes our shield. He helps us then protects us. This is an awesome concept given to us through a praise by David.

How should we respond to this gift? David rejoiced and praised Him with song. This should also be our response. There should be a song in our hearts and our mouths to praise Him. We should be full of praise and joy to give Him glory for His goodness to us. What song is your heart singing today?
