Psalm 27:4 One thing that I have desired of the Lord, That I will seek. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

What is the purpose of your life? What is your desire? What are you seeking that you will put the time and effort in? Is it money? Is it fame? Do you seek things or to be loved by people? This is what sums up the world. They seek these things these possessions that will rust and fade away.

David made it clear what he truly sought after. His desire was to be with the Lord. to know Him and his goodness. This is the true treasure of life. To know the incorruptible God, who gives gifts that do not fade, do not rust and no one can take away. This should be the desire we have for ourselves and our children. Not to chase the wind.

Where does David look for these gifts and where does he seek his desire? In the house of the Lord. He sought Him where He said He would be. In the midst of His people where they gathered to worship Him. If you are seeking the presence of the Lord today , then go to His house. A place where His people gather to worship Him. Trust me if you walk in the walls will not fall in. He wants to meet you there.
