Proverbs 14:2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord. But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.

What path do you walk down at this time? Is it a way that leads to God or one that leads away from Him? I know this seems like a direct question and may seem offensive, but it needs to be asked. We all need to stop and think about this question on a regular basis. It allows us to reflect on our path.

If we walk in the fear of the Lord then we are on a path that leads up, to Him. This is the desired path. One in which grace and mercy are abundant. This is the path in which we can help others find a life of peace and understanding. A path were our true needs and desires will be fulfilled.

The person who chooses perverseness is on a downward trajectory. This path is walking away from the Lord. It is filled with immediate fulfillment of wants buts leads to a lifetime of chasing that one moment. It is lonely and full of disappointment. The good news is that if you so chose, you can leave this path. It does not have to be permanent. All you have to do is call on the name of Jesus.
