Psalm 37:16 A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.

What would say having a rich life looks like? When the thought of this flashes through your mind does possessions and money play a large part? Do you dream of big mansions and new cars? Having people working for you cooking and cleaning while you relax by the big pool? Then you would be in the majority.

What really though is true riches? What if you had all of the above and yet your health was failing? What if the health of your child was failing or they had a chemical dependency that was ruining their life? Would you trade all of the material things for them to be well? I would hope you would. So again what is true riches?

God created us to live a life honoring Him. He gives blessings to his people. What do these blessings look like? Maybe you find favor in business. Maybe you and your children stay healthy. Maybe he blesses you to travel and feel the inward rewards of helping those in need. These are the true blessings of life.

Now this is not saying having money is wrong. There are plenty of examples of rich God fearing people in the bible. Abraham was rich. Job was a rich man, then a man who lost everything, then blessed and rich again. Money is not the problem. The problem is the heart of man. If your heart is in Gods hand then you truly live a rich and blessed life.
