Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
Commitment is a word that most people do not want to hear these days. It means to be dedicated to a cause, or an obligation that restricts freedom of action. Commitment comes with a cost. The cost? Time of course. Time is fleeting so it is priceless. Commitment comes with restriction of freedom of action. What restriction? Restriction to do what we want to do. It cost us our want.
Committing to the Lord would on appearance cost us time and our will. This is why so many hesitate when they consider Him. What they fail to realize is what they are gaining is so much more than what they think they lose. He is the definition of awesome, love, goodness and the list goes on and on. Furthermore, He cares for you and wants you to be what he created you to be.
Committing to Him comes to us because He first committed to us .He created us, He gave us this world and He gave His Son. He held nothing back from us. Does it not sound like we can trust Him? He is all in on us. We are His sons and daughters. My prayer is for the scales to come off the eyes of those who do not believe. My hope is He will bring this to pass in your life if you do not.
