Matthew 28:20 “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.” Amen
There is a human saying, “A teacher affects eternity; they can never tell where their influence stops.” This is true when we teach people how to think. It it so much more true when we take the time to teach the precepts and words of Jesus. There is truly an eternal influence.
Jesus had went to the cross and conquered death by rising from the grave. He danced on deaths grave and had spent time with his disciples and numerous others. He was about to ascend to the Fathers right hand. Before He did though He left these final instructions. Teach all that I have commanded. Teach everyone of every nation. How could His disciples and the others who had given their lives to Him do this?
The simple fact is they could not. It was incumbent upon them to spread the Word to as many people as they could. Then the next generation was to do the same. This was to continue until the end of the age. This command is the very reason why I write this devotion. I want to spread Jesus to everyone I can. Why?
Because I have experienced the forgiveness He has provided. I have been covered by His grace. I know that I know He is the Savior of the world. My question is do you know Him in that way?
